City building Project

General Description

This project results from the collaboration between the Gamr7 video game company and the Liesp laboratory (multi-agent part) and the Liris laboratory (image rendering part). The general subject for the project (multi-agent part) is to recognise and make benefit with the original possibilities provided by the multi-agent paradigm in the context of video game contents making. We focus on the making of realistic virtual cities, for which we participate to the elaboration of a city generator.

Outputs

  • Multi-agent positioning reinforced: the generating problem has been analysed in a multi-agent perspective. This allows to facilitate the establishment of models (components of the environment are associated with agents), and allows to paralyse the generation process.
  • A making process for city building: Our proposals include a conflict resolution algorithm used by the kernel generator (patent). This one allow to express complex relation between the virtual environment and the buildings to fit global constraints (social constraints, economic constraints, rendering constraints, etc.).
